Subaru Forester STI
Yeah, Forester STI. Until today, I had no idea Subie made this bad boy...but only for Japan. <sadness> I knew someone last year took all the running bits from an STI and drop it into an Forester, which they dub the Forester XTI. But a production hot SUV straight from Subie? Awesome.
If this car was in the US, I'd go buy it right now. Trying to get a family mover with fun to drive, and 0-60 in under 5 second, is not an easy thing to find.

We love our Forester and it's the plain-Jane, non-souped-up version. Cramming three kids in the back seat is proving a bit more of a challenge than we initially thought, but it's so fun to drive, we're not headed out to buy a family-moving minivan just yet. =>

We rented one of these for a few days in Portland and loved it as well. I think the extra leg room and the HUGE sun room really got us excited :)We have a Mazdaspeed3 right now, which works great for the most part, especially for living in the city and still being practical (and fast! hehe). We could possibly squeeze a 2nd kid in there, but no way to get 3! :)
